The SP2030 Mini Task Force Meeting convened faculty representatives to gather and refine inputs for the development of UTM’s long-term strategic framework. The sessions involved Deputy Registrars and Assistant Deans (Quality & Strategy) from each faculty, strengthening cross-campus coordination and alignment.

YBhg. Tan Sri Azman Hj. Mokhtar, Chairman of the UTM Board of Directors, shared leadership insights through his journey experience, “Kembara Kretapi – 77 Days, 77 Trains, 1 World,” highlighting global perspectives on leadership. The session, moderated by Dr. Abdullah Mohd Nawi, was attended by UTM leadership, Board members, senior officials, and staff, fostering strategic reflection and inspiration.

Prof. Emerita Datuk Dr. Asma binti Ismail, a member of the UTM Board of Directors, shared insights on key uncertainties shaping the higher education landscape and challenged universities to respond strategically to change. The session was attended by UTM’s top management, reinforcing leadership engagement in navigating future challenges.

The session marked the official handover of the Strategic Management System developed by UTMDigital following its launch on MyUTM. The system enables structured monitoring of departmental achievements, ensuring alignment across the University towards shared strategic goals.

The LPU Retreat UTM 2023, held from 30 November to 2 December 2023 at Bangi Resort Hotel, brought together 88 participants, including members of the University Board of Directors and the secretariat. The retreat served as a strategic platform to deliberate on the direction and implementation of the enVision UTM 2025 Action Plan 2024. Through focused discussions and engagements, the Board provided valuable inputs and strategic guidance to strengthen planning, alignment, and execution, supporting UTM’s efforts to achieve its strategic aspirations under enVision UTM 2025.
