The seminar aims to discuss three important topics (Tensile, Impact and Rheological study of polymer), the theory and its applications. These three topics will be delivered by Dr. Marco Bronzoni (ITA) and Oh Jee Wee (SIN) who have more than 8 years’ experience in research and development on those particular topics. The seminar brings together academician, industries and postgraduate students who do research on mechanical testing of polymer and processing.

The Speakers
Dr. Marco Bronzoni
Member of the Italian Board of Engineers
Member of the International Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE).
Past experiences: Researcher on Materials Science and Technology at Polytechnic of Turin. Research projects on ceramic bio-composites, special surface treatments for surgical titanium alloys and other biomedical applications. Since 2004 at CEAST INSTRON (part of ITW Test and Measurement) as R&D Manager for Product Application. Project manager for the development of new polymer testing instruments (hardware, software), active member of ISO technical committees (TC 61). Company specialist for Rheology.
Mr. Oh Joo Wee
Based in Singapore, Joo Wee has been with Instron for 8 years, working initially in Engineering where he was involved in design and project management of Instron's accessories. He has since taken on the role of Product Support Manager and leads a team responsible for Instron's Electromechanical (EM) and CEAST range of products, with a support territory encompassing Japan, South Korea, South East Asia, Taiwan, Australia and India. In addition to his role as a product and applications reference point for the regional sales force, Joo Wee is actively involved in running training programmes for sales engineers and agents, new product launches, and conducting application focused seminars. The Product Support group in Singapore also serves as a vital bridge between the Asian markets and the Centres of Excellence in Norwood, USA (EM) and Torino, Italy (CEAST).
