UTM My Carbon is a greenhouse gas measurement in the campus landscape area, it measures carbon produced from activities involving the release of carbon from identified sectors such as water, waste, air, transport, and energy. The assessment and report was recorded using international baseline data and utilizing in-house Expert; Prof Dr Zainura Zainon Noor as the Project Leader.
There are THREE scopes evaluated in UTM My Carbon:
- Immediate release (Direct) – Scope 1
- indirect emissions – Scope 2
- Other indirect emissions – Scope 3
