He is the Founder and Head of Advanced Membrane Technology Research Center\u00a0(AMTEC), UTM, Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>Currently he is the Dean of Research for Materials and\u00a0Manufacturing Research Alliance, UTM. He has over 15 years experience in the development of\u00a0membrane technology for reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, membrane contactor\u00a0and gas separation. The development of nanofibers and carbon nanostructured materials for\u00a0energy related application is also of special interest. He is the author of over 100 refereed\u00a0publications.
